How are you all doing? How was your week? It is definitely true when it is said that the Lord watches over your family while you are on your mission. I am sincerely grateful that she is okay, especially when I haven't heard from her in a long time and then hearing about the accident. My heart is filled with gratitude towards the Lord for His protection over all of you, especially Colby. This is truly a miracle.
This week has been an interesting one for me also. I too got in a little accident... wow must be a twin thing? Mine wasn't as nearly as bad as Colby's, and it was my fault: blind spot. But we are okay, no injuries. I have a new companion this week, Sister Palmer. She is amazing!! We are continually progressing towards a celestial companionship, and are excited to be serving together. We surprisingly have a LOT in common, which is really fun. She is a sister training leader, which is remarkable being that she has only been out for 6 months! I have learned a lot from her already and will continue to learn this whole companionship.
Guess what?! History was made last wednesday, our mission opened up Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, a 13th Zone, and in a few weeks 2 brand new missionaries that will speak Laoution (spelling?), and by the end of September we will have 300 total of missionaries (including seniors)!!! This is truly incredible! The hastening of the work is happening right now! Some quotes from transfer meeting:
" We need to be willing to do what the Lord wants us to, and it will be most times not what you think you're supposed to do."
" God's thoughts are not my thoughts." Both of these are from Sister Clayton
OH!!! I am soooo stoked for tomorrow!! ELDER BALLARD is going to be speaking to our mission tomorrow!!!!!!!! YES!
This week was slower than most, but that is okay... we are on the Lord's timing for everything. When HE wants us to find new investigators, it will happen. When HE wants us to have a busy week, it will happen. IF we do our part in being actively engaged. I am so happy to be here, so glad that I am doing the Lord's work here in Poway,CA. I love you all so very much and wish the best for you all. Please write and email me back :)
